Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold, angular Mamluk calligraphy, characteristic of late Burji-period hammered silver coinage. The inscription, arranged in stacked horizontal registers, bears the titles and name of the sultan al-Mansur 'Abd al-'Aziz. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-cut hammered production. The field shows moderate wear and surface granularity typical of circulated base-silver Mamluk dirhams. No border or marginal legend is discernible.
