| Obverse description | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic epigraphic legend in raised Naskh script, arranged in four horizontal registers across the coin's face. The inscriptions contain the royal titulature and religious formulae associated with the Mamluk sultan al-Adil Salamish. The flat, undecorated field bears no figurative imagery, consistent with Mamluk aniconic coinage tradition. The legend is enclosed within a plain inner border surrounded by a dotted outer border. The flan is irregular and slightly cracked at the edge, characteristic of hammered Mamluk silver coinage of this period. |
