Obverse description Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic script arranged in concentric registers, bearing the Islamic profession of faith (Shahada) and Quranic verse. The legend is framed within a plain inner circle and surrounded by a continuous circular marginal inscription in Kufic script. An outer beaded or cable border encloses the entire design. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck production, with die wear visible across the central area.
