| Obverse description | Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic script arranged in concentric registers, bearing the Islamic profession of faith (Shahada) and Quranic verse. The legend is framed within a plain inner circle and surrounded by a continuous circular marginal inscription in Kufic script. An outer beaded or cable border encloses the entire design. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck production, with die wear visible across the central area. |
