| Obverse description | Facing bust of a male figure with stylized features rendered in the late Artuqid figural tradition, the portrait occupying the central field of the flan. The bust appears draped, with facial details including eyes and nose crudely but distinctly struck. The surrounding field retains traces of a beaded or dotted border encircling the central device. The die work is characteristic of the provincial hammered coinage of the Artuqid dynasty of Khartabirt. |
