Obverse description Bearded bust of Vologases II facing left, wearing a elaborate tiara or mural crown adorned with a row of pellets along the rim and jeweled diadem. The king's hair is rendered in stylized locks falling behind the ear, and the bust is draped in royal garments with visible beaded torque at the neck. The portrait is executed in the characteristic late Parthian style, with a long pointed beard and strong facial features. The field is plain, and the flan is irregular as typical of hammered Parthian small silver coinage.

Reverse description Archer seated right on a throne or omphalos, depicted in the traditional Arsacid style with a bow held in the extended right hand. The figure wears Parthian dress and the composition is enclosed by a dotted border. A multi-line Greek legend surrounds and fills the field in abbreviated form, identifying the king by his royal titles. The die work is characteristic of the small Parthian diobol series, with somewhat cursory engraving typical of this denomination.
