| Reverse description | Forepart of a winged goat in a similar kneeling or running pose to the right, rendered within a shallow incuse square divided by a rough linear border, characteristic of early fifth-century BC Carian coinage struck by the hammered incuse technique. The striations of the wings are clearly articulated, and the bovine-caprid head is shown in three-quarter view with pronounced horns. The incuse field surrounding the type shows faint linear tool marks. No legend is present. |
