Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in archaic Greek style. The goddess wears a crested Attic helmet with incised decorative detail visible on the bowl, and a prominent circular scroll motif on the cheekpiece. The facial features are boldly modelled in high relief, with the neck and lower profile filling the flan. No legend is present on this side.

Reverse description Facing bucranium (frontal bull's head) depicted en face within a shallow incuse square, the horns sweeping upward to either side. The forehead is adorned with a rosette or cluster of pellets, and the muzzle is rendered with naturalistic detail. The Greek ethnic abbreviation for Theodosia is distributed in three pairs of letters around the central device: ΘΕ to the upper left, ΟΔ to the upper right, and ΕΩ flanking the lower portion of the bull's head, all within the incuse field.
