| Obverse description | Radiate and horned head of Zeus-Ammon facing right, rendered in high relief with flowing locks of hair and the characteristic ram's horn curling before the ear, a syncretic emblem combining Greek and Egyptian divine attributes. The facial features are bold and idealised in the Hellenistic tradition, with a fillet or diadem indicated in the hair. The broad flan allows the portrait to dominate the field, with no visible legend on this side. The style is consistent with Alexandrian mint production of the mid-third century BC. |
