Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the Alexandrian provincial style. The emperor's portrait displays the characteristic Roman imperial effigy with a wreath of laurel encircling the head. The Greek imperial legend AYT KAICAP ∆OMIT CEB ΓEPM runs around the periphery of the flan, abbreviated in the standard Alexandrian convention. The coin exhibits the somewhat crude but vigorous die-cutting typical of the Alexandria mint's bronze production under the Flavian dynasty.
