| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in archaic Greek style with finely incised laurel wreath crowning the hair. The facial features are boldly modelled in high relief, with a prominent nose and well-defined jaw; long strands of hair fall in beaded locks behind the neck. The coin flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck production of the early fourth century BC. |

| Reverse description | A kithara (lyre) depicted frontally in bold relief, its rectangular resonating body clearly articulated with a stepped base and crossbar at the top, between which the characteristic curved arms rise to support the yoke. Two voluted scroll ornaments are visible at the upper corners of the sound box, and a horizontal string-bar is rendered across the lower body. The device is set within a plain incuse square field, a hallmark of early Megarian coinage. |
