Obverse description Jugate busts of the Dioskouroi (Castor and Pollux) facing left, both depicted as youthful male heads; the foreground figure wears a laureate or wreathed cap, while the second head is visible behind and slightly overlapping, adorned with a similar wreath. The hair of both figures is rendered in flowing, finely engraved curls in the accomplished late Syracusan style. A small earring is visible on the nearer bust. The field is smooth and unlettered.
