| Obverse description | Bare head of a local nymph facing left, rendered in archaic Greek style with finely incised hair swept back in undulating waves and gathered into a cluster of curls at the nape. The facial features are boldly modelled in high relief, characteristic of the mid-fifth century BC Macedonian coining tradition. The field is plain and unlettered. |

The bovine features — including the muzzle, horns, and heavily textured coat — are executed with considerable naturalistic detail for the period. The ethnic abbreviation ΔΙΚ appears in the left margin of the incuse square, identifying the issuing city of Dikaia. |
