Reverse description Head of a ram facing left, rendered in moderate relief within a shallow circular incuse, the wool of the fleece indicated by stylized curls around the neck and face. The Greek inscription ΠANTI appears in the lower field beneath the ram's head, identifying the issuing city of Pantikapaion. The incuse treatment of the reverse is characteristic of early Bosporan silver coinage and reflects archaic minting conventions of the period.
