Reverse description A goat standing to right in a composed, naturalistic posture, its forelegs held closely parallel, rendered with careful attention to musculature and horn detail. A grain ear or grain symbol appears to the right of the animal in the field, serving as a civic emblem. The legend ΑΙΝΙ is inscribed above the goat in archaic Greek characters, identifying the issuing city of Ainos. The reverse design is set within a slightly incuse square field typical of early Thracian coinage.
