| Obverse description | Forepart of a horse prancing to the right, rendered in archaic Greek style with bold, schematic musculature. The protome emerges from the lower field, with the neck and chest prominently modelled in relatively high relief for the coin's small module. The field is plain and unadorned, with no legend or additional devices. The flan is irregular and slightly spread at the edges, characteristic of early Rhodian Peraea hammered coinage. |
