Reverse description Head of a lion facing right, depicted in profile with open jaws and a prominent mane rendered in summary archaic style, set within a dotted (beaded) square border. This inner square is itself contained within a deeper recessed incuse square, a hallmark of early Greek coinage technique. The lion's eye is rendered as a circular depression, and the mane is suggested by schematic lines radiating around the head. The design is boldly struck and well-centred within the incuse compartment, with no inscription or additional devices in the field.
