Obverse description Head of Hera facing three-quarters to the left, wearing a wreath and a stephane, with long flowing hair rendered in fine wavy strands falling over the neck. The facial features are rendered in a naturalistic Italiote style characteristic of fourth-century Krotoniate coinage. The flan is irregular with a slightly raised rim.

Reverse description A caduceus, the herald's staff entwined with two serpents, depicted upright in the center of the field, flanked by a scattered arrangement of pellets forming a decorative pattern around it. The city ethnic KPO is distributed in the field, with K to the upper left, P to the lower right, and O to the upper right. The reverse field is plain with a beaded border visible around the periphery.
