| Reverse description | Forepart of a winged boar facing left, rendered in bold relief with incised feather detail on the wing and naturalistic musculature on the shoulder and snout. The animal's bristled back and extended foreleg are clearly delineated. The partial ethnic legend ΚΛΑZO appears in Greek characters in the field to the right, identifying the issuing city of Klazomenai. The design is set against a plain, slightly irregular flan typical of hammered coinage of this period. |

| Additional information |
Klazomenai, one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League, occupied a precarious position on a small island connected to the mainland by a causeway — a geography that shaped both its politics and its coinage. The city changed hands repeatedly between Athenian and Persian spheres of influence during the fourth century, and small fractional silver of this type was the workhorse currency of that instability.
SNG Copenhagen 25 places this diobol squarely within a well-documented but modestly understood local series.
