Obverse description Head of Athena facing left, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with a scroll motif on the cheekpiece; the neck and lower drapery are visible below. The portrait is rendered in a compact, archaic-influenced style characteristic of Tarentine small silver coinage. The helmet crest rises prominently above the head, with fine engraved detail preserved on the bowl and visor. The flan is irregular and slightly broader than tall, as typical of hammered Italic issues. No legend appears on the obverse.
