| Obverse description | A Delphic tripod occupies the central field, depicted facing, with a flat lebes (cauldron) resting atop three slender legs that terminate in lion's paw feet. The rendering is schematic yet forceful, characteristic of the archaic-to-classical transitional coinage of Kroton. No inscription or border is present, the design filling the flan to its irregular edges. |
