Obverse description Facing stylized bust of the count, rendered in the crude Romanesque manner typical of medieval Catalan coinage, occupying the central field. The portrait displays schematic facial features with large almond-shaped eyes, a broad nose, and a beaded or dotted border encircling the design. The overall execution is characteristic of hammered provincial coinage of the late 11th to early 12th century, with irregular flan edges and variable relief.
