| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized monogram or letter-form device enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a small cross patée below and a pellet to the left of the central device. The design is executed in a crude but characteristic Romanesque hammered style typical of Catalan feudal coinage. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads +PONCI COMES (Pons Count), with letters separated by pellets or stops. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-cut billon planchets of the period. |
