Reverse description A bold pattée or floriated cross occupying the central field, with stylized floral or lozenge ornaments decorating each of the four angles between the arms of the cross. The central device is enclosed within an inner beaded circle. A circular Latin legend in the outer annulus reads +POCI` VGO, identifying the count by name as Ponce Hugh (Ponç Hug V). The execution is typical of the crude but expressive hammered technique employed by the County of Empuries in this period.
