Reverse description Central field depicts a rampant lion of León passant to the left, rendered in a bold Gothic style within a beaded square or quadrilobe frame. The mint mark 'S' for Seville appears in the lower field beneath the lion. Rampant lions are also visible in the lateral fields outside the inner frame. A partial Latin legend encircles the periphery within the beaded outer border, partially lost to the irregular edges of the hammered flan. The die work reflects the conventional Castilian-Leonese heraldic vocabulary of the reign of Juan I.
