Obverse description Crowned facing bust of Sancho IV, depicted with long flowing hair and a prominent crown with fleur-de-lis points, rendered in a stylized medieval manner characteristic of Castilian hammered coinage. To the left and right of the effigy, small heraldic charges — a castle and a lion — are visible in the field, flanking the royal portrait. The bust is set within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery.
