Obverse description Central field dominated by a stylized Gothic castle with three towers, the central tower prominently taller and flanked by two shorter turrets, all rendered within a beaded inner border. The castle is depicted with an open gateway at its base and crenellated battlements, characteristic of the heraldic castle of Castile. A surrounding Latin legend runs along the periphery of the coin, partially obscured by the irregular flan edge. The design is executed in the bold, simplified heraldic style typical of 14th-century Castilian hammered billon coinage.
