Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script, contained within a lobed or cloud-collar cartouche typical of Mongol-period Islamic coinage. The legend identifies the ruler Yesün Temür Khan with his honorific titles. The cartouche is bordered by a plain inner circle and an outer dotted border, with the entire design executed in high relief against a flat, unadorned field characteristic of Chagatai hammered silver coinage.
