Obverse description Draped bust of Wahram II (Bahram II) facing right, bearded, wearing an elaborate winged crown surmounted by a korymbos (hair bundle enclosed in a globular casing). The king's long curled hair falls behind the neck, and his garment features detailed drapery at the shoulder. A Pahlavi legend in Middle Persian script encircles the effigy within a border of beaded dots.
