| Obverse description | Royal effigy in Kushan style depicted standing and facing left, holding a trident with a flame rising over the shoulder, the left hand extended toward a small altar over which a sacrifice is performed. The figure is rendered in bold relief with schematic drapery and ornamentation characteristic of post-Kushan coinage of the Bengal region. A prominent dotted border encircles the entire design. A Brahmi legend identifying the ruler appears in the field. |
