| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic religious legend in Kufic-transitional script, arranged in horizontal registers within a double circular border. The central inscription contains the Shahada and Quranic formulae typical of Abbasid-derived coinage traditions. An inner marginal legend encircles the central area, with additional text in the outer annulus. The script is bold and well-struck for a hammered issue, characteristic of early Seljuq gold coinage. |
