| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in angular Kufic-influenced script arranged within a plain inner circle, bearing the name of the Ilkhan ruler Hulagu Khan (هولاکو خان). The flan is irregular and slightly convex, characteristic of hammered Ilkhanid gold coinage. Marginal inscription runs partially along the outer border, though the mint name and date are illegible due to weak striking and flan irregularities. The overall design follows the traditional Islamic dinar format with no figural imagery. |
