Reverse description A lion rampant to the left occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Small stars are scattered in the field surrounding the lion, filling the spaces between the inner circle and the outer edge of the coin. The lion is rendered in a stylized medieval heraldic manner typical of Serbian despotate coinage of the 15th century. The flan edges are irregular, consistent with the hammered production technique of the period.
