| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized six-pointed radiate sun or star motif with a central annulet, characteristic of Chagatai Khanate coinage of the early 14th century. Arabic inscriptions appear above and below the central device, with additional legend fragments distributed around the field. The pious phrase conveying the meaning 'There is no prosperity without justice' is rendered in angular Arabic script. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edge, consistent with hammered production. The overall strike is bold at center but uneven toward the periphery. |

| Additional information |
Ilchigiday's brief tenure as a Chagatai ruler left almost no documentary trace in the Persian chronicles, and this fractional issue is among the few physical confirmations that he governed at all. The Chagatai Khanate in the 1320s was fragmenting rapidly between eastern and western factions, with khans sometimes holding power for less than a season before being displaced or killed by rival claimants.
Album 1991 is sparsely represented in major collections.
