Reverse description Central field displays multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in a rectangular text block, containing the caliph's name and titles alongside Quranic formulae. A circular marginal legend surrounds the central text panel, separated by a linear border. The relief is moderately bold, consistent with Abbasid hammered gold coinage of the late 6th century AH. The flan exhibits the characteristic irregular edges and slight weakness of strike typical of medieval Islamic hand-struck dinars.
