Reverse description Central square field enclosed within a dotted inner border and a plain outer frame, containing a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold script identifying the ruler and his titles. The inscription within the square is arranged in three lines, with small decorative roundels or separators between the lines. A circular marginal legend in cursive Arabic script encircles the central square in the outer annulus, running continuously around the full circumference of the coin. The lateral margins between the square and the rim bear additional inscriptional content. The design continues the Almohad square-in-circle format, characteristic of Hafsid gold coinage of the early period under Abu Zakariya' Yahya I.
