| Obverse description | Central square panel containing multiple lines of Arabic religious and dynastic inscriptions in angular Maghribi script, arranged in horizontal registers. A marginal legend in Arabic script runs along the outer border of the coin, framing the central field. The coin surface exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and bold, deeply struck lettering typical of Zayyanid hammered gold coinage. A numerical date appears at the base of the central panel. The overall design follows the Almohad square-in-circle format standard across North African and Iberian Islamic coinage of this period. |
