| Reverse description | The reverse likewise bears an entirely epigraphic composition in Kufic script, with three lines of Arabic text filling the central field within a plain inner circle. The central inscription identifies the caliph 'Abd al-Rahman, Commander of the Faithful, followed by the Quranic verse of mission (Quran 9:33). A marginal circular legend in bold Kufic script runs between two concentric linear borders, beginning with the Basmala and the Prophetic title. The overall layout closely mirrors the obverse, maintaining the symmetrical, text-only aesthetic standard to Córdoban caliphal dinars of this series. |
