Reverse description Pegasos in full flight to the left, wings prominently raised and displayed, with muscular body and dynamic forward motion conveyed through the outstretched legs. Below the figure of Pegasos, a swimming dolphin is depicted to the left, and the Greek letter Σ (sigma) appears as a control mark in the lower field. The composition fills the flan effectively, with the exergual area occupied by the dolphin serving as a secondary type characteristic of Syracusan civic bronze issues of this period.
