Obverse description The obverse depicts a relief representation of the famous small owl (chouette) sculpted into a stone wall corner, referencing the carved owl on the Notre-Dame church in Dijon, a local good-luck talisman. The field is divided between a gilt central panel showing the carved stone relief and two flanking panels with a contrasting brown finish. The legends 'Rue de la Chouette' and 'Dijon' appear vertically on either side.
