Obverse description Helmeted male head in right profile, identified as either Sophytes or Seleucus I, wearing a laureate crested Attic helmet; the cheek guard is adorned with a stylized wing motif, while the crest is decorated with an intricate guilloche pattern, lending the portrait a refined Hellenistic artistic character. The bust is truncated at the shoulder, with the legend MNA incuse on the truncation. The engraving is executed with considerable precision, reflecting the high-quality die work associated with this satrapal issue.
