| Obverse description | Bare head of Apollo-Carneius facing right, depicted in the syncretic Libyan tradition with a prominent curving horn of Ammon emerging from the hair above the ear. The hair is rendered in flowing locks swept back from the forehead and secured with a taenia, with individual curls finely articulated in the late Classical Cyrenaic style. The facial features are rendered in three-quarter relief with a strong, youthful profile, characteristic of the Cyrenaican mint's accomplished die-cutters of the early Hellenistic period. The field is plain, with no legend or exergual inscription. |

| Reverse description | The silphium plant, the celebrated and prized medicinal herb emblematic of Cyrene, depicted in full frontal view with a tall central stalk crowned by a large rounded umbel at the apex. Four curved lateral branches radiate symmetrically from the main stalk, each terminating in smaller fruit-bearing umbels, while the base of the plant spreads into broad root-like extensions resting on the ground line. The ethnic abbreviation KYPA is disposed in the field, with K and Y to the upper left and right respectively, and P and A to the lower left and right, flanking the plant. |
