| Obverse description | Bare head of Apollo facing left, rendered in finely detailed relief characteristic of early Hellenistic Cyrenaic engraving. The hair is elaborately arranged with flowing curled locks swept back from the forehead, terminating in a large circular coil behind the ear. The facial features are idealized with a smooth, youthful countenance, well-defined brow, and subtly parted lips. The portrait fills the flan with confident artistry, with no legend or border present in the field. |
