| Reverse description | Forepart of a roaring lion to the right, rendered with vigorous naturalism, the right forepaw raised and extended in a striding posture. The lion's open maw and deeply incised mane are characteristic of Knidian coinage of the period. In the upper right field, the magistrate's name ΕΠΙΔΑΜΟΣ is inscribed in Greek letters, accompanied by a star symbol serving as an additional control mark. The composition is contained within a linear border typical of Carian civic issues. |
