| Obverse description | Radiate facing head of Helios rendered in three-quarter view, turned slightly to the right, with flowing wavy locks of hair spreading outward across the field and prominent sun rays projecting from behind the head at intervals. The facial features are modelled in high relief with fine Hellenistic artistry, capturing the god's serene yet powerful expression. The flan is irregular, consistent with the hammered technique typical of Rhodian coinage of the period. |
