Obverse description Facing head of Helios, the sun god, rendered in three-quarter view slightly turned to the right, with radiate crown of solar rays emanating from the hair. The face is boldly modelled with fine detail, displaying wavy locks swept to either side in the characteristic Rhodian style. The high-relief portrait fills the coin field, a hallmark of the accomplished die engraving tradition of Rhodes during the mid-Hellenistic period.

Reverse description A rose in full bloom, the civic emblem of Rhodes, occupies the central field with a budding rose to the left. The ethnic abbreviation ΡΟ appears below the bloom, flanking the stem. To the left, a figure of Artemis is depicted running left in a short chiton. The magistrate's name ΑΓΗΣΙΔΑΜΟΣ is inscribed in Greek letters, identifying this issue within the Rhodian administrative coinage series.
