Obverse description Draped bust of a city nymph facing left, her elaborately dressed hair adorned with a stephane and a large rosette ornament, with loose curling locks falling to the neck. Pendant drop earrings hang below the ear, and a beaded necklace encircles the throat. In the lower right field, behind the neck, a small eagle is depicted with head turned back, serving as a civic badge of Neapolis. The portraiture is rendered in refined Hellenistic style with high relief and exceptional detail.
