| Reverse description | Owl standing three-quarters facing to the right, rendered in the conventional Athenian 'glaukion' type with large circular eyes, ruffled feathering depicted as rows of pellets, and talons gripping a horizontal ground line. An olive sprig and crescent moon appear to the upper left of the owl, serving as the canonical Athenian symbolic accompaniments. The ethnic legend AΘE is inscribed vertically to the right of the owl in three Greek capital letters, closely imitating the standard Athenian new-style didrachm reverse type, though this is a Bactrian imitative issue. |
