Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet with a distinctive crest, rendered in the Hellenistic style with fine detail to the facial features. The goddess is depicted in profile, with the cheek-guards of the helmet raised. The field is plain and the flan edge shows the characteristic irregular outline typical of eastern Seleucid bronze coinage. A dotted border is partially visible along the right edge of the flan.
