Reverse description Two owls of Athens standing facing, side by side, their heads turned frontally in the characteristic Athenian glaukos style, enclosed within an olive wreath. The ethnic abbreviation AΘE appears in the lower field beneath the owls. The composition closely echoes the iconography of the larger Athenian bronze issues of the late Classical and early Hellenistic periods.
