| Reverse description | A wolf seated to the left, rendered in the local Hellenistic style, with a double axe (labrys) placed beside or before it. The entire device is enclosed within a laurel wreath, which frames the central field. The wolf and double axe are traditional civic symbols of Laodikeia. The surface shows considerable wear and patination consistent with circulation use. |
