Obverse description Facing right, the head of the nymph Larissa rendered in fine archaic-to-early classical style, her hair neatly bound and rolled at the nape, adorned with a pendant earring. The portrait occupies the central field with naturalistic modelling of the facial features characteristic of Thessalian bronze coinage of the fourth century BC.

Reverse description A horse depicted in a grazing posture, head lowered to the ground, facing left, rendered with lively naturalism typical of Thessalian equestrian coinage. The animal stands on a ground line with its legs slightly bent, conveying a sense of movement and weight. The ethnic legend ΛΑΡΙΣΑΙΩΝ is partially preserved in Greek characters arranged around the figure in the field.
